Breast cancer affects approximately 1 in 13 women in Singapore and may not show early symptoms. Therefore, regular breast screening is important for early detection.
- Aged 40–49? A mammogram is recommended once a year.
- Aged 50 and above? A mammogram is recommended once every two years.
- Below 40? An ultrasound is recommended if you notice a breast lump, persistent breast pain, nipple changes or other unusual breast changes.
Dr Chong Chee Keong is a dual-fellowship-trained specialist with over 30 years of surgical experience and a special interest in breast-conserving surgery and minimally invasive surgical techniques. All breast screening results at Maven Surgery are personally reviewed by our experienced breast surgeon, Dr Chong, who will explain the findings clearly.
If an abnormality is detected or further tests and follow-ups are needed, Dr Chong can continue to care for you through further evaluation, diagnosis and treatment where necessary, providing continuity of care throughout the process.
